Day 1:

Embarking on an Adventure in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

The tour kicks off at 4:00 am, with pick-up from your urban accommodation. If you're outside this area, we'll coordinate a strategic meeting point for your pick-up. The journey takes approximately 3 hours to the Mamey village (also known as Machete Pela'o). There, we'll enjoy a nutritious breakfast before starting our 7.6 km (4.7 miles) trek. During the hike, we'll stop at the Las Tres Cruces viewpoint to hydrate and have some fruit. We'll then continue to the first cabin, Adán or Alfredo, where we can rest, enjoy waterfalls and nearby rivers, and proceed to the second cabin "Wiwa." The adventure continues by exploring the Sierra Nevada, skirting an indigenous village called Mutanyi, where our guide will share insights into the community's customs and beliefs. After lunch, we'll follow the trail to the third camp, "Paraíso Teyuna," where we'll spend the night. Here, we'll gather in the evenings to connect with other travelers and learn more about the region and its people.

Note: The camp has electricity from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm; let's take advantage of this time to charge our electronic devices.

Day 2:

Discovering the Lost City.

This is the big day! We'll rise early, have breakfast, and embark on our journey to the long-awaited Lost City, just 1 hour from Paraíso Teyuna camp. However, reaching it requires climbing about 1200 steps. As we advance, we'll encounter terraces built over a thousand years ago and finally reach the archaeological remains of the vanished Tayrona culture. During the guided tour, we'll learn more about the Lost City and enjoy the breathtaking landscape. In this magical place, let's not overlook the energetic charge it holds. Take time to reconnect with yourself and absorb the energy of the location; let's cherish and carry it in our memories and spirits. Our stay will be approximately 3 hours before returning to camp for lunch and continuing our journey back home because we have achieved our goal of discovering the majestic Lost City.

Note: We can spend our second night at one of the camps seen at the beginning of the journey, Cabaña Wiwa or Mumake; these have electricity, bathrooms, and showers.

Day 3:

Returning Home.

During this prodigious adventure back home, we can enjoy the rivers, waterfalls, and pools that nature gifts us. We'll make stops to admire the scenery, hydrate, and enjoy fresh fruits. The first stop will be at the camp where we spent the first night, Adán or Alfredo. From there, we'll head to Machete Pela'o on a 4-hour journey. Upon arrival, we'll have a delicious home-cooked lunch before departing in our 4x4 vehicle to the city of Santa Marta, bidding a temporary farewell to the Lost City and carrying a piece of it in our hearts.

Important: By taking the tour to the Lost City with us, you'll contribute to the well-being, health, and education of the indigenous and peasant communities in this region.
