Kennedy Hill is a mountain that is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, its highest point has an altitude of 3100 meters, above sea level, covered by a forest of fog in which hundreds are housed of endemic and migratory birds.
From the top of this important mountain you can get an excellent view of the snowy peaks Bolívar and Colon, Santa Marta and the entire mountainous system that makes up the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, you can also see many of the endemic bird species that are found in the sub Andean mountainous forests of this area. If you are a lover of nature, tranquility and mountains, Kennedy Hill is a destination that you can not miss.

Day 1
Departure from your hostel in the city of Santa Marta, taking the road that connects with Minca, a picturesque town located 650 meters above sea level. Visit to the coffee farm where you will learnabout the organic coffee process. Once the tour in the coffee farm is finished, we continue the journey in our jeep along a rugged and uncapped road to the farm La María, in the la Tagua village, where the car would leave us.
Once there and ready from the farm, La María, a walk, of approximately two hours, begins to the eco-tourist farm Santa Elena; we will install there, walk the surroundings and visit the sunset over the mountains, the Ciénaga grande and the Caribbean Sea.
Day 2
You must get up very early to watch the sunrise in the Sierra Nevada and observe the snowy peaks while having a delicious cup of organic coffee from the Sierra Nevada. Traditional breakfast is served at 06:00 am, the 3-hour hike begins on the ascent through private paths until we reach La Cima, Eco-touristic viewpoint of the Sierra Nevada, located at an approximate height of 3100 meters above sea level. During the whole tour you will have an excellent view of the mountains, mainly on the snow-capped peaks Bolívar and Colón, crossing streams, rising from water, in the same way we will have the opportunity to observe a variety of endemic birds that inhabit this region.
Return to the Eco-touristic farm Santa Elena to have lunch, then travel to the road to return to Santa Marta.
