Basic Information:
The tour to San Basilio de Palenque will take you through the history of this town where the African slaves were free and danced to the sound of drums, made their own language and freely practiced their customs that are still preserved today. The cultural space of San Basilio de Palenque is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

8:00 am - Downtown, Marina Park, in front of the statue.

3:00 pm - Downtown.

We will leave Cartagena at 8:00 am to go to San Basilio de Palenque where we will arrive around 9:30 am. There our local guide and palenquero will be waiting for us, with whom we will live a cultural exchange, we will know the customs of this afro-descendant people that have made it Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, we will learn a little of their language and above all we will live the history of this people that obtained freedom 200 years before the Independence of Colombia.
At noon, we will have a delicious typical lunch, made with the ancestral recipes of the African people and then we will take the transport to return to Cartagena and finish our tour to San Basilio de Palenque.
