Marine Safari, The wildlife of the Darién

Day 1

Flight Medellin - Bahia Solano

We will take our flight from Medellín to Bahía Solano . Upon arrival, we will travel by boat to Punta Ardita, and during the tour we will be able to see whales and other marine species together with some birds, this being our first marine approach in the area of Punta Ardita and Morros de Corredo. We will be arriving at the Darién Lodge between 4pm and 5pm to check in and have a rest time in its comfortable facilities.

Day 2:

Bird watching and marine safari

We will have our early breakfast at the lodge and we will hike in one of the deep areas of Punta Ardita where we will see the contrast between the sea and the jungle, here we will find different species of birds, reptiles, amphibians and of course, we will be surrounded by the impressive Pacific jungle .

At the end, we will go to the lodge to have lunch and in the afternoon we will have a marine safari between Punta Ardita and the border with Panama.

Day 3

Marine Safari in Cabo Marzo

After breakfast we will travel to Cabo Marzo and along the way we will have the sighting of some marine species and whales, we will also have the possibility of seeing varieties of fish, sardines, whale sharks, among others. They are in Cabo Marzo , we will visit their natural aquarium and we will do the snorkeling activity, being one of the most impressive areas of the Pacific coast.

In the afternoon we will have the privilege of having lunch on one of the quiet beaches of Cabo Marzo and then we will go whale watching, where we will also watch the sunset from the boat.

Day 4

Marine Safari and return to Bahía Solano

For our 4th day we will check out of the lodge at 8:00 am, and we will take a boat back to Bahía Solano, a tour throughout the morning through the open sea, where once again the whales and other species will accompany us on the marine safari back to Bahía Solano . We will have lunch on the boat while we enjoy the view and the Pacific Ocean.

At 4pm we will arrive at the Costa Chocó hotel and at night we will have dinner outside the hotel at the Casa Negra restaurant

day 5

Return flight Bahía Solano - Medellín

On our last day we will take the flight back home.

• During the whale watching, do not feed them.
• Do not throw waste or rubbish into the sea.
• Wear comfortable and light clothing.
• Bathing suit, quick-drying towel and low volume.
• Comfortable shoes that can get wet.
• Bring a hat or cap, sunscreen and glasses.
• Carry identification documents.
• Bring medications prescribed by your doctor, the guides are not authorized to prescribe or provide them.
• Bring cash for personal expenses.
• Don't forget to bring your camera.
• In the open sea there is no cell phone connection, however there is a satellite phone for emergencies. Wi-Fi and cell phone signal are available in the lodge facilities
