The Sierra Nevada del Güicán , popularly known as the Nevado del Cocuy , looming majestically in the Andes mountain range, is an unmissable destination for hiking lovers and passionate about mountains, in a trekking that allows you to observe a glacier up close. and spotting birds, mammals, frailejones valleys. It is without a doubt, an experience that you cannot miss.

Day 1- Acclimatization walk.
We will arrive very early at the municipality of El Cocuy , we will have breakfast and we will carry out the respective registration at the National Parks office, the rescue insurance.
We will leave in a transport to the cabin assigned to us according to the chosen route (Pulpito, La Esperanza, Ritacuba). Once there we will take the acclimatization walk around the surroundings, in order to accustom our bodies to the altitude. In addition, we will have the opportunity to see viewpoints and lagoons outside the Cocuy Natural Park . These activities are optional and can vary depending on availability.
Important: Accommodation can be in a cabin or campsite, subject to availability.
Day 2- Walk to the snow edge
After getting up very early and having breakfast, we are going to start our second walk which will be towards the snow edge (Pan de Sugar, Pulpito del Diablo, Cóncavo, RitaCuba), this is a walk of approximately 8 to 10 hours which is considered demanding-medium/high level. We will be having our lunch during the activity which would be a picnic type.
At the end of the activity we will return to the town to rest at the hotel and have dinner.
Day 3- Walk to Termales municipality of Güicán
After getting up early and having breakfast, we will walk to the Güicán hot springs (it is optional to take transportation if you do not want to walk). While there we will enjoy bathing in natural freshwater pools, rich in minerals. We will end our adventure by returning to Cocuy to take our transportation and head to our cities of origin.

- The Nevado del Cocuy has many wonderful places to visit, landscapes and impressive viewpoints, so don't worry if you are not in the best physical condition, there are different trails which consist of different levels of complexity that will adapt to your needs.
- Entry to the park is not recommended for children under 10 years of age, or people with physical disabilities, cardiovascular or respiratory problems, pregnant women or older adults.
- It is recommended that you bring snacks that are of your preference (snacks, chocolates, peanuts, fruits, etc.)
- It is recommended that you bring medication if you need it since the guides are not authorized to provide any type of medication.
- It is recommended to bring your own bottle for water, this way we contribute to the reduction of single-use plastic.
