The Sierra del Cocuy, Güicán and Chita, commonly referred to as the Nevado del Cocuy, stands as one of the most captivating natural parks in Colombia. This destination is a true paradise for nature lovers, offering endless hiking routes that allow you to immerse yourself in impressive high mountain landscapes.
Note : It is not recommended for people with cardiovascular or respiratory problems, pregnant women.

Day 1
Arrival at the Municipality of Cocuy.
Once in the territory, we will have breakfast and then register at the National Parks and rescue insurance office. Later, we will settle into our bedrooms. After organizing our luggage, we will move to the Mahoma viewpoint , where we can observe a large part of the Sierra Nevada, the paramos ecosystem and the landscapes of the northern municipalities of Boyacá.
Day 2
Attempt to Ascend Sugar Loaf, Pulpito del Diablo.
After breakfast, we will try to reach the snow edge (Pan de Azúcar-Pulpito del Diablo, Cóncavo, Raticuba at 4800 meters above sea level). We will have a picnic lunch at the site, enjoying the spectacular view of the snow. This trek lasts approximately 8 to 10 hours, and its difficulty level is Demanding-Medium-High. We finish the experience by returning to the town and from there departing to our next destination.

- Dark glasses or glasses with UV filter
- Gloves, hat or balaclava and flashlight.
- Good Grip Hiking Boots
- Backpack to carry on the shoulders preferably
- Personal first aid kit and sunscreen with UV filter
- Water-resistant or windbreaker jacket
- Carry a light blanket for the road trip.
- It is recommended that you bring snacks that are of your preference (snacks, chocolates, peanuts, fruits, etc.)
- It is recommended that you bring medication if you need it since the guides are not authorized to provide any type of medication.
- It is recommended to bring your own bottle for water, this way we contribute to the reduction of single-use plastic.
