Our experience begins around 2:30 pm with a visit to the Cerro del Santísimo Park in Bucaramanga. This impressive tourist attraction is located in Vereda Helechales, a quiet rural corner that houses a majestic 35 m high sculpture of Jesus. From here, we will have the opportunity to contemplate his imposing figure in harmony with the picturesque landscape of the city that extends in the distance.
Next, we will embark on a fascinating tour of the city of Bucaramanga, where we will discover the charms of this vibrant Colombian metropolis. Our itinerary will take us through its rich history and local culture as we visit iconic parks, churches and admire the impressive urban development that the city has undergone in recent years.
To end this enriching experience, we will go to Girón, a charming town that captivates with its 17th century architecture, its cobbled streets and narrow sidewalks. Here, we will witness the deep-rooted religious tradition, the natural beauty of its ravines, and the welcoming spirit of the tobacco-growing peasants. In addition, we will be able to delight ourselves with gastronomic delights such as the famous fritanga, raspados and cocadas, influenced by its rich gypsy heritage.
