How to get to Salto del Mortiño and the Crystal Bridge
In the department of Huila there is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet: The Colombian Massif . A gift from nature full of breathtaking landscapes. Within this massif is the Salto del Mortiño ; one of the most surprising places in Huila and that every traveler should know.
El Salto del Mortiño is a natural setting as surprising as it is unique in the world. Its main attraction is a waterfall of more than 200 meters, which is classified as one of the best in South America.
The Colombian Massif is one of the Biosphere Reserves of Colombia for the world, because its natural wealth is totally unique in the entire planet. In addition, it is an ancestral territory for the indigenous people who inhabit this region of the country.

How to get to Salto del Mortiño?
El Salto del Mortiño is located on a path near the municipality of Isnos ; one of the youngest towns in Huila. To get there you must take a direct bus to Isnos at the Neiva Transport Terminal. This journey has a value of 60,000 COP approximately and the trip takes hours.
Another way to get to Isnos is to travel directly from Bogotá or another capital city such as Medellín, Cali or Popayán.
Then, to get to Salto del Mortiño you must take a jeep, motorcycle or other transport from Isnos to this natural destination.
What to do in the Salto del Mortiño?
The Salto del Mortiño is just one of the attractions that Isnos has. There, you will also find the new and famous Mirador de Cristal , also called as the “ falcon's eye ”, from where you can get a beautiful view of the waterfall and take unique photos. Right next to it, there is the " flight of the eagle ", the largest swing that Huila has and from where you can get another fantastic view of the Salto del Mortiño.
In addition, in the surroundings of the Salto del Mortiño is the Salto de Bordones , another waterfall with more than 400 meters high and which houses one of the most incredible landscapes in southern Colombia.
Around here you will also find the Alto de los Ídolos and the Alto de las Piedras , two archaeological sectors that belong to the San Agustín Park and that you can visit and discover some of the mysteries that are housed here.
Finally, you should know that in Isnos there is a wide range of hotels, hostels, farms and country houses in case you decide to spend the night. It is another of the things that you should do in your visit to this municipality of Huila .
