Day 1:
Touring the Amazon River in the Pirarucú
Our adventure begins with your pick-up at the Vásquez Cobo Airport in the city of Leticia, from where we will transfer you to the port of Leticia. There, we will board a floating raft called Pirarucú, named in honor of the homonymous fish that is characteristic of the region. This air-breathing fish navigates local rivers and is very popular in local cuisine. Before arriving at the Tanimboca reserve, we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Once in the reserve, we will have the opportunity to take a night tour to observe the fascinating wild fauna and flora, while we let ourselves be lulled by the intoxicating sounds of the jungle.
Day 2:
Knowing the Aromas and Sounds of the Night Jungle .
This day begins with the sound of nature, inviting us to listen to it and protect it. After a delicious breakfast, we will head to the Peruvian reserve El Milagro de Marasha, where we will take an ecological walk to discover its natural beauty. Then, we will enjoy a handmade canoe ride along the river to spot the fauna and flora of the place, such as the black caiman. We can also practice artisanal fishing with the natives. Before resting in an indigenous maloca, we will take a night tour of the reserve to discover the aromas and sounds of our mother earth.
Day 3:
Sighting of Pink and Gray Dolphins.
We will start early with a walk to the boat point to head to Puerto Nariño. Here, we will have the exciting opportunity to spot pink and gray dolphins, although it is important to keep in mind that, being in their natural habitat, their sighting is not guaranteed. Afterwards, we will go to the Pirarucú floating cabin to enjoy the surroundings.
Day 4:
Farewell to the Amazon.
The adventure comes to an end with a delicious breakfast. You will be transferred to Leticia, and, depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore the city, make a last stop at the craft stores and take with you a little piece of the Amazon made by indigenous and local hands.
