Plan to the Tatacoa Desert for two days

Day 1 of the Tatacoa Desert Plan.

2:00 pm: Reception in Villavieja , check-in at the hotel and start of the tour.

3:00 pm: Cultural and historical town tour of Villavieja. You'll visit the Paleontological Museum, the Totumo Craft House Museum, the Santa Bárbara Chapel, the Nuestra Señora del Socorro Church, and the Malecón (waterfront) located on the banks of the Magdalena River. The tour concludes with a visit to a boutique in Villavieja to purchase handicrafts, souvenirs, and mementos.

6:30 pm: Departure to the Tatacoa Desert Astronomical Observatory , where you'll have the opportunity to observe the most important celestial phenomena in astronomy. There, you'll participate in an hour-and-a-half interactive talk led by an expert, who will map the sky and teach you about Greek mythology, cosmology, and stargazing through a telescope. Afterward, transfer to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 2 of the Tatacoa Desert Plan

7:30 am: Breakfast and transfer to the Tatacoa Desert for the start of a 4-hour guided tour of the Tatacoa Desert . You'll visit tourist sites such as Cardón ; the Cusco labyrinths; Ventanas, also known as the highest point in Tatacoa or the sand zoo; and Los Hoyos . The tour will conclude at the mineral water pool.

During the trip, you'll also have optional visits to places to purchase sweets made with goat's milk and others made with cactus and aloe vera. At the scheduled time, you'll return to the hotel for check-out and the conclusion of this basic tour of the Tatacoa Desert.
