San José del Guaviare is the municipality that welcomes you to the Colombian Amazon. You can reach it by car in just eight hours from the Colombian capital, or by plane with Clic or Satena in a 50-minute flight.

Day 1
Orion's Gate and Sunset at Nowen Bridge.
The tour begins with a hike to Orion's Gate , an impressive rock formation surrounded by unique landscapes and natural formations that invite contemplation. This site, steeped in mysticism and beauty, is one of the region's most iconic landmarks.
After enjoying the surroundings, the route continues to the Nowen Bridge , which connects the departments of Meta and Guaviare. From this point, at the end of the day, you can enjoy an unforgettable sunset , with a privileged view of the Amazonian horizon, symbolically marking the entrance to this wonderful region of the country.
Day 2
Visit to Cerro Azul.
This tour takes us to one of the most impressive rock art sites in Colombia: Cerro Azul . Along the way, we'll discover more than 150 meters of murals with ancestral paintings dating back more than 12,000 years —a true window into the past of the Amazonian indigenous communities.
The adventure continues with a tour of a 210-meter-long cave , where the darkness and silence connect us with the ancient history of the place. To top it off, we'll climb to the Cerro Azul viewpoint , offering a unique panoramic view of the Amazon rainforest in all its splendor.
This tour is approximately 4 kilometers long and combines nature, history, and adventure into a single experience.
Day 3
Natural Tunnels and Natural Wells Reserve.
The tour begins with a hike through the Natural Tunnels Reserve , passing through savannas, rock formations, labyrinths, and caves that create a unique and mysterious landscape . The experience continues to the Natural Wells , where you'll enjoy a water journey through crevices, small waterfalls, and pools up to 4 meters deep—ideal for a refreshing, recreational swim surrounded by nature.
Day 4
River of colors.
Visit one of the colorful rivers of Guaviare , where the waterbed dazzles with shades of fuchsia, pink and green , thanks to the presence of Rhyncholacis clavigera , the same aquatic plant that gives life to the famous Caño Cristales.
This natural spectacle, known as a liquid rainbow , flows between rocks, small waterfalls and crystal-clear water pools , creating a unique landscape that seems straight out of a dream.

A San José del Guaviare puedes llegar en bus desde la Terminal de Transportes Salitre de Bogotá, puedes viajar con la empresa Flota La Macarena, cada trayecto puede durar hasta 9 horas y se puede encontrar desde $100.000 COP. También, puedes llegar en bus desde Villavicencio o en avión desde Bogotá.
Las aerolíneas que viajan al destino desde Bogotá son Easyfly y Satena. Los precios de los tiquetes varian de acuerdo a la temporada.
El clima del departamento del Guaviare es de tipo tropical estacional; los vientos predominantes son en dirección norte – sur – norte presentes en el Ecuador climático; la precipitación anual promedio es de 2.600 mm; la región se caracteriza por su régimen monomodal, con una temporada seca corta y una lluviosa larga, que se extiende de abril a noviembre; las temperaturas medias anuales son superiores a 26°C. Sus tierras están comprendidas en el piso térmico cálido.
Los elementos indispensables para la experiencia son los siguientes: Poncho Impermeable,Linterna con pilas bombillo de repuesto, sombrero o cachucha,repelente y protector solar,cantimplora.pantalón largo (2), camisa manga larga (3), ropa suficiente de cambio . Incluye una chaqueta o saco liviano, Tenis o zapatos con suela de agarre, Pantaloneta de baño, vestido de baño.
El hotel asignado al plan es el Hotel Quinto Nivel, de acuerdo al tipo de acomodación seleccionada sencilla, doble o acomodación múltiple.
