Tatacoa Desert Tour 3 days and 2 nights

Day 1

City Tour of Villavieja and Astronomy Tour in Tatacoa

First, we will be welcomed by our host, who will assist us with our hotel accommodations in Villavieja. We will then tour the town's main streets to visit the Paleontological Museum, the Totumo Craft House Museum, the Craft Beer Plant, the Santa Barbara Chapel, the Church of Our Lady of Socorro, and the boardwalk along the banks of the Magdalena River. We will conclude with a visit to a boutique in Villavieja to purchase handicrafts, souvenirs, and mementos.

Around 6:30 pm, we'll head to the astronomical observatory, where we'll have an open-air talk about Tatacoa's starry sky and the opportunity to experience the most important celestial phenomena in astronomy. There, you'll be able to participate in an hour-and-a-half interactive talk led by an expert, who will map the sky and teach you about Greek mythology, cosmology , and stargazing through a telescope. Important: The astronomical talk and stargazing through telescopes depend on the night's weather conditions.

The experience ends with us returning to Villavieja to rest and prepare for our second day of this plan to the Tatacoa Desert.

Day 2

Tour of the Tatacoa Desert

Our second day begins with a rich and nutritious breakfast that will give us all the energy to start the day. Afterward, we'll embark on a tour of the Tatacoa Desert, exploring the most beautiful areas such as the Cusco Labyrinths, Los Hoyos, the sand zoo, the mineral water pool , and much more. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to enjoy the desert in a different way with various activities such as horseback riding, biking, or ATV riding (not included).

This day we will spend the night in a tourist inn located in the Tatacoa Desert.

Day 3

Tour of the Magdalena River

We begin with breakfast at the inn, and at the scheduled time, we'll head to Villavieja for a wonderful tour along the Magdalena River that borders the municipality, where we'll see incredible natural beauty. We'll then return to the town where our unforgettable 3-day tour of the Tatacoa Desert concludes.
