The region is inhabited by peasants and indigenous Arhuacos, another of the native ethnic groups of the Sierra Nevada. All these communities coexist in harmony despite their cultural differences, a fact evident in the school, where the children of the region study regardless of their cultural background and while preserving their traditions.
