Silent Lagoon and Natural Aquarium

After your breakfast, we will pick you up at the La Macarena pier to start our journey along the Guayabero river until we reach the school in the village of La Cachivera, we can go walking or on horseback, it is approximately 2.5 km. Upon arrival we will share with settlers who have inhabited this region for more than 60 years, then we will move to the entrance pier to Laguna del Silencio. We will take a tour in a foal (canoe moved by oars) over the beautiful natural water mirror, which will welcome us with its majestic fauna and flora. We will see a diversity of birds and if you are lucky, also reptiles.

We will have lunch in one of the rural farms around the Lagoon, and at the end, we will start a walk that will take us to a natural aquarium with crystalline waters that come from Caño Cristales. Here we will take a refreshing bath and swim surrounded by the variety of fish that inhabit the most beautiful river in the world . At this point the return walk begins that will take us to meet the horses, which will allow us to contemplate the Llanos sunset and return to the port of embarkation, in order to return to La Macarena.

• Wear trekking or tennis shoes with good grip, appropriate for walks on trails, mountains, waterfalls or rivers.
