Come and discover the Serranía de la Macarena PNN and its trails. We will visit one of the most beautiful rivers in the world, a jewel of nature where you can appreciate 5 different colors created by the Rhyncholacis Clavigera plant that blooms from June to November.

Day 1
Knowing the Magic of the Lagoon of Silence
Depending on the time of arrival, you will have lunch in the town or in the village on a peasant farm, then we will arrive at the lnderena port to take a canoe that will take us for about 25 to 30 minutes on the Guayabero River to the village of La Cachivera. There we will take a horse or take a walk until we reach the peasant farm of Mr. Antonio Pinto, where we will begin the journey towards the Laguna del Silencio, a mirror of water that will steal our breath away. In this magical place we will start the tour in a foal (small canoe) where we will pass through the arches of the palm of moriche and visit the garcero. An incredible landscape that embraces us with its exotic fauna.
Day 2
Caño Cristales: River of Colors
On our second day we will travel on horseback through a natural path passing through various ecosystems, here we will have the opportunity to see the upper part of Caño Cristales . In the first walk of the day in which you will visit different attractions in some of our stops, you will be able to snorkel, swim and observe the Rhyncholacis Clavigera, the plant that gives Caño Cristales its 5 different colors. During the tour we will have a cold cut lunch (served in a banana leaf).
At night we will have time to share with your hosts around a campfire where we will listen to myths, legends and stories from the community.
Day 3
Moriche Puddle
After having breakfast we will move along a natural trail passing through several ecosystems, here we will have the opportunity to know the lower part of Caño Cristales. In the first walk of the day we will be able to snorkel, swim and observe the green Rhyncholacis Clavigera .
At night we will have time to share with your hosts around a campfire where we can listen to myths, legends and stories of the community.
Day 4
Come back to home.
On our last day, if you want to see the beautiful llanero sunrise, we will get up very early to then have breakfast and start the walk back home to the pick-up point on horseback to reach the Guayabero river, where we will take the canoe back to the Macarena and take your flight back home

- Yellow fever vaccine is recommended (not mandatory).
- Be prepared for rain: it may rain, so don't forget your raincoat.
- Bring your reusable water bottle or camelback.
- Disposable plastics are not allowed in Caño Cristales.
- Wear clothing that protects you from the sun.
- The use of sunscreen is not allowed. Bring repellent creams, etc., that may alter the ecosystem and harm plants.
- Wear sturdy shoes for walking, preferably covering your ankles, as sandals or flip-flops are not allowed on the trails.
- Hotels in La Macarena do not have hot water; shower water is at room temperature.
- In La Macarena, there is only a Bancolombia correspondent bank and a Banco Agrario branch. Still, we recommend bringing cash.
- Phone signal is scarce; the only operator that works (intermittently) is Claro.
- Children under 5 years old are not allowed entry; the ideal age for a child to undertake the tour is 10 years old.
