Every October, the municipality of Ovejas , in the department of Sucre , gets party mode with the National Bagpipes Festival . This celebration is one of the fairs and festivals in Colombia that take place throughout the year to celebrate the most beautiful traditions and the diverse cultural manifestations that make this country a land of flavor and joy.

In this 2019 , at the National Festival of Bagpipes celebrates its 35th version, the sweet sound of the bagpipes is combined with the rhythms that come out of the guitar, drums and accordions to create joy, flavor and celebrate the most representative of music coastal. This version will take place from October 11 to 14 and the programming comes with different activities to enjoy the most typical of Sucre.

There will be dances, dances, concerts with national and international artists, parades, oral expression activities and of course competitions and demonstrations of bagpipes; instrument that is the main course of this party.
