Central Cemetery-Bogotá

The Central Cemetery of Bogotá is one of the largest Colombian Heritage Cemeteries . This cemetery located in Medellin is almost unique in the country and the Patrimonial Cemeteries , since apart of being a cemetery, it falls into the category of a museum, given in 1998 and declared a Cultural Interest of National Matter in 1999. The Cemetery is a museum outdoors, a ritual and artistic space for the living and the dead. It has a collection made up of a set of forms of  the death representation and transformation over time, as well as its diverse uses and social practices.
