The Salto de Versailles , is a beautiful waterfall; in fact, it is one of the most beautiful you can find in Cundinamarca . The Salto de Versailles is a cascade of over 40 meters high that is produced by the union of the San Francisco, El Guadual and Limonar rivers. This cascade is also loaded with a legend of love among indigenous communities; according to the story, here two members of the Panches tribe used to met, but it turns out that their love was forbidden because their families were enemies, so ignoring their families and driven by their love, one day they met in this waterfall, and since its relationship was not allowed the waters grew and flooded all the communities killing both families and the young lovers.

How to get to Salto de Versailles?

To get to Salto de Versailles, you must arrive or be in Guaduas first. Before continuing you should know the access is not easy but not impossible, the reason is that there are no public buses, so the easiest way is to go on a  private car, otherwise in Guaduas you can pay a taxi to take you to the waterfall. The journey costs between 15,000 and 20,000 COP.
